About Pachanga

Demonstrating the spirit of Mexican Pueblos Mágicos fused with the sounds and flavors of Latin America.

Our events

What started as an underground party in 2017, has become one of Chicago's largest communities for music, art, and dance with monthly parties; demonstrating the spirit of Mexican Pueblos Mágicos fused with the sounds and flavors of Latin America

Pachanga has since participated in significant Chicago events including Mole de Mayo, Mamby on the Beach, North Coast Music Festival, Wicker Park Fest, DCASE World Music Festival, LatiNxt Music Fest at Navy Pier among others. Pachanga has collaborated with the curation of events for global brands including Jack Daniels, Miller Coors (Sol Cerveza), and University of Chicago.

Team

Guillermo “Memo” Duarte is a deejay and event curator. Memo launched Pachanga in efforts to bring visibility to Mexican-American culture in Chicago and in the Midwest. Memo has exercised his knowledge in event curation, and building audiences by providing memorable experiences that are reminiscent of his hometown in México. Learn more about memo here.

Daniel Martinez co-founded Pachanga in 2017 with Memo Duarte. He is a special education teacher in the Brighton Park neighborhood with a fierce aptitude for making meaningful connections with all that he meets. He has produced some of the best event experiences in Pachanga including Zombie Quinceañera at the Metro and has led partnerships with companies like Red Bull and Brown Forman.

Marino Alvarado was invited by Pachanga to DJ his very first DJ set in Chicago at the iconic music venue Subterranean. After developing and honing his knowledge and skills as a DJ at these parties, he would eventually be recognized by the DJ community and industry. After being recognized, he would be invited to participate at some of the cities hottest venues, events and festivals including Blind Barber, The Darling, The Mine, Emporium, Agua, Hush, The Taste of Chicago, Red Bull Xicago, Wicker Park Fest and Michelada Fest, along with sharing the stage with A.Chal and Jhay Cortez.
